As Associate Librarian, Resources and Digital Services, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership of the Library and its digital direction. Leading areas including Library Information Resources, Research Support, Discovery Services and the Whitlam Prime Ministerial Collection, your global view of digital information and discovery landscape will inform and shape the strategies used to keep Western Sydney University Library as a leader in digital information access provision. Based at the Penrith Campus, this full-time, ongoing role heads a large and diverse team and is an active member of the Library Executive Group. As the successful applicant you will have a firm knowledge of the scholarly materials and publishing environment in support of teaching and learning, as well as an understanding of current technology and its potential in a University Library environment. Your ability to make connections and operate across diverse functional areas will be instrumental in the strategic coordination of the Library’s resource provision, which is delivered at scale across our seven campuses and through our online presence and repositories. Shaping the direction of the Library Research support, you will represent the Library on research related matters, raising and extending the profile of Library research services.
