UNE's Strategic Plan makes a major investment in new initiatives that will support a heightened focus
on research excellence and the student experience. The University Library is acknowledged as an
essential partner in the UNE research strategy and an expert advisor on scholarly communication as well
as a major contributor to supporting students and enabling them to excel.

The most critical resource available to the University Library is its staff. The University Library is
undergoing transformational change to ensure that it provides the best possible support and
contribution to the University strategic priorities. An exciting opportunity exists for highly motivated
librarians wishing to be part of the new strategy.

To be part of this team, applicants will need to demonstrate the capacity to deliver outcomes that
contribute to enhancing the library content management and discovery systems that support research
performance and researchers, and teaching and learning in an online environment.

Applicants will require a degree or postgraduate qualification, in library and information
services/management and be eligible for Associate membership of the Australian Library and
Information Association. Applicants appointed at the level of Manager and Senior Librarian will lead the
rejuvenation strategy in consultation with the Library Executive and will require demonstrated effective
leadership across personal, interpersonal and cognitive dimensions. To view the selection criteria at
